Rock wool cubes facilitate effortless seed and cutting propagation, ensuring uniform root growth throughout the entire cube. They seamlessly fit into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks and are also compatible with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fiber mixes, and various other growing media.
Crafted from molten basalt and limestone, rock wool is spun into fine fibers and compressed into high-quality cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Ensure safe handling of rock wool by wearing gloves and a mask, as its fibers can irritate the skin and lungs upon contact or inhalation.
1. Avoid squeezing rock wool, especially when it's wet, to maintain its structure and efficacy.
2. Pre-condition rock wool in pH 5.5 water before use to dissolve any lime content.
3. Pre-soak the rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size, to prepare it for optimal performance.
4. Water plants only during daylight hours; avoid watering in the dark to prevent root diseases.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment temperature of 18.5-28°C. Temperatures above 26.7°C in the growing media can deplete oxygen levels and promote root disease.
6. Adjust watering volume based on light levels - more water with fewer cycles during low light, and vice versa.
7. Do not keep rock wool excessively wet. Overwatering, indicated by abundant algae, hinders root setting essential for healthy plant growth. Minimize watering when plants are young.
